ADOLPH WEISMANN, second son of Adolph William Weismann and Anna Meyers, was born in West Hoboken, N. J., October 14, 1877. He was graduated from the high school of his native town in 1894, and the same year formed a copartnership with his elder brother, Ferdinand, and engaged in the drug business in the Town of Union and later also in West Hoboken, the firm being F. Weismann & Brother. He passed his examination before the New Jersey State Board of Pharmacy in 1898.

He is a member of the Masonic fraternity, of the Junior Order United American Mechanics, of the Knights of the Maccabees, and of the Hamilton Utica, N. Y. Wheelmen. November 26, 1898, he married Miss Clara Pritchard, of
