As mentioned, the Ferry is another option. New York Waterway goes to Harborside (at Exchange Place) in Jersey City weekdays and weekends. A New York waterway ferry also goes to Liberty Marina located in Liberty State Park. The Liberty Marina Service seems to only run on weekdays.
