Subway info to New York

Can anyone give me advice on the subway? I come from a very small town and need alot of help here! I went to NYC last year with a friend aand we parked at Newport Mall and took the PATH subway into a station near Macys. It worked well and we had a good time.

I would like to take my in-laws overnight (to see a show etc.)and need to know:

1. Is there overnight parking close to the same station?
2. What area would be close to the Theatres?
3. Is there a train we can take from the mall area to the theatre area without transfering?
