That would be quite a change.

All the New Jersey Transit trains that travel into Manhattan go to Penn Station - a good 3 miles from the World Trade Center. I think if this project started tomorrow (with all necessary approvals in hand), it might be finished by
2020 or 2025.

It would be interesting project for some college students to do up some preliminary sketches, time schedules and cost estimates for such a project.

It would also be interesting to imagine the reaction of New Jersey taxpayers and politicians to the idea of going to New York first before they get to their destination in New Jersey.

I bet the New York politicians would be all for it.

: When the World Trade Center (partly owned by New Jersey through the PA) is rebuilt, what about having the NJ Transit facility, now in Hoboken, extended/moved across the river and put underneath the new WTC.

: I'd love your comments as to its impact on Jersey City, Hoboken, Hudson County and New Jersey.
