: Call the Parking Authority at 201-653-6969 or the Mayor's Action Bureau at 201-547-4900. : : I'd like to know the actually rules for parking on a street which is for permit parking only. I have a parking permit. And I know the street signs let you know the rules and where to park on the street but what are the rules for parking where those signs are. I parked behind a sign in the direction that it showed to park with several cars behind me and JCPA told me that I'm supposed to park 25 ft. from the sign. Is that true? I am having the same problem. I got a ticket and I was sure I was legally parked. I have a residential parking permit and I wasn't in the crosswalk. My ticket was for being too near to the crosswalk or something I don't understand. I called the parking authority and they told me the same thing.... something about being 25 ft. from the crosswalk. I've never heard of anything like that before. Is there a link to parking rules online somewhere that I can look at so I at least know more about this. I see cars parked in the same spot I was in every day. I wonder if they are getting tickets too...
