The fare will probably be $1. As they are independents, ask when boarding.

Another option might be to take the NJ Transit bus to the Hoboken PATH/Ferry/Light Rail/train station. You can also walk up to Central Ave (or Ferry and Webster) and take the bus from there to Journal Square.

In July, the Light Rail elevator from Congress Street should be operational.

: Oops, my apologies, I made a mistake. I would be looking to take the bus from Palisade avenue, not Pavonia. Probably at the corner of Palisade and Franklin. If i am able to catch a jitney, what would be the cost. Thanks

: : Exactly from what corner are you trying to catch the bus?

: : Much of Pavonia is just a few blocks from Journal Square. There's a Downtown section of Pavonia Avenue and there's another section by the Square and Marion.

: : The jitney buses are independent operators. There's no schedule. If one of these vans seems to be headed towards Journal Square, then just flag it down and ask if that's where it's going.

: :
: : : I'm new to the JC Heights area and I live near pavonia ave. I've heard that there are shuttle buses(not nj transit) that can take me to the journal square path station. I've seen what looks like the shuttles but I'm not sure. does anyone know where i can get information/schedules about the shuttles and how much they cost. if not, what would be the best way to get to journal square from either pavonia or central ave in jersey city. Thanks in advance
