: i recently moved to the heights from california and wanted to know about the little white commuter jitney buses..I catch it near my house on Graham street at the corner of Kennedy Boulevard. : What is the schedule for those buses..at night if I have to work late in the city, how late do those buses run from port authority bus terminal back to jersey city. Also, is taking a bus to the path a good idea? Would I catch a bus on kennedy to Grove street and take the path there? : also what are the other buses you can catch on Kennedy as well as palisade avenue..i know one is the #125..how late do the NJ transit buses run from port authority? If i have to work until midnight, what is the best way for me to get home to the heights. Help!! The jitney buses are independent operators. There is no set schedule. For late hours, my suggestion would be to try to catch one of the jitneys at the Port Authority in NYC. If none appear to be available, then take one of the Red and Tan line buses back to Jersey City. If the PATH is convenient to you in NYC, then you could take the PATH to Hoboken. From there you can take the Light Rail to the 9th Street Station in Hoboken. At that station there is an elevator to Congress Street and Paterson Plank Road. Another option is the PATH to Journal Square. From Journal Square you can take the Central Avenue or some other bus. See the Link for Links to the NJ Transit and the Red and Tan Web Sites.
