PATH (Port Authority Trans Hudson) Subway Line
The PATH system links Jersey City to Hoboken, Harrison, Newark, and to both Downtown and Midtown in New York City. There are four PATH subway stations in Jersey City: Exchange Place, Grove Street, Pavonia/Newport and Journal Square.

The PATH subway gives ease of access to both Manhattan and Newark. The PATH is so reliable and efficient that businesses at Jersey City's Exchange Place say that they are " across the street" from the World Trade Center!

US Routes 1 & 9, I-78, I-95, I-280, and the NJ Turnpike (exits 14B and 14C) make travel easy to Northern, Western, and Southern destinations.

Since Jersey City is at the center of this major highway system, it's extremely easy for employees and goods to stream both in and out.

While on New Jersey Turnpike, traffic conditions are reported on AM radio station 1610.

Harborside Ferry Service to Downtown

Harborside Ferry Service to Midtown

NY Waterway boasts a total of four routes out of Jersey City, the largest concentration of service offered by the company. The new ferry service linking Jersey City's Harborside Financial Center to Manhattan's West 38th Street slip will provide service in both directions Monday to Friday during morning and evening rush hours. The ferries will leave Harborside every 15 minutes from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and will leave West 38th Street every 15 minutes from 4:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

Starting September 8, the fare will be $4 per trip, $36 for 10 trips and $140 for a monthly pass. For further information, passengers may call 1-800-53-FERRY or visit http://www.nywaterway.com.

Hudson TMA provides a car-pooling match service and a wide variety of other mass transit resources.

A Light Rail service will soon connect Jersey City with the other waterfront communities.
