In general the first step in an indictable offense is The
Central Judicial Processing (CJP) Court at the ground floor of
595 Newark Avenue. There is also an entrance for this court
on Central Avenue (between Newark and Pavonia).
Less serious charges (disorderly person) are taken care of atthe Municipal Courthouse at 365 Summit Avenue.
