: : : I was once told that Hudson Boulevard (pre-Kennedy Blvd.) had its own Police Department and that its jurisdiction was just that - the boundaries of the Boulevard itself. The officers could not attend to crime on any of the side streets - only the Boulevard. Does anyone know if this is true? Thanks.

: : yes its true blvd.police were only respon to accident on hudson blvd. curb to curb. in the 60" they were rename john f.kennedy police dept. then name hudson county police which dismanl in 90" i have more infor. please e-mail

: My Dad was appointed to the Blvd Police in 1957 and retired from the Hudosn County police in 1987. I know there are not to many officers alive today and i would appreciate any information or memorabilia I can pass along to him it would be a great thing.
: Thanks
