My mother had a similar experience which I am trying to research. When she arrived at the hospital at 4am, she was sedated. When she first gave birth she remembered hearing the doctor and nurse say "it's a boy" repeatedly. They then told her to keep her eyes closed and relax. There was then a commotion and then silence. After that, she thought they were going to remove the placenta but instead she gave birth again to a girl (me) at 5:45 am. While she slept, there was a doctor with her.

When she woke, she was told she gave birth to a baby girl. No one mentioned anything about a baby boy and she didn't say anything because she did not want them to think she was hallucinating or something. When she went to pay her bill, they told her it had already been paid. This happened on September 21st, 1964.

She just told me this a few weeks ago. If anyone can help me by providing any information, I would greatly appreciate it.
