As the SS Demellier takes on water it sends out an SOS for help, but finds the only ship in the area is the SS Amabile which has already sunk.

What a shame....Oh the Humanity of it all!!!! And caught in the rip tide of the sinking Demellier is the unfortunate campaign of Jerry Healy. Someone throw that good man a life preserver.
