Senator Bernie Kenny was courageous in responding to the church's refusal to let him accept communion. Kenny never left the Church- The Catholic Church left Kenny high and dry. No communion means that he was just about ex-communicated. what did he do to deserve that?

Senator Bernie Kenny is no Martin Luther-he's a politician who has chosen to champion abortion because that gets votes instead of keeping the commandments as the church which gave him all the sacraments and educated him- taught him. Once he ponies up to that won't the Catholic Church ex-communicate him for supporting the war in Iraq (the taking of lives) or for advocating that everyone have living wills or for supporting women being priests or for reading the Da Vinci Code.       - Who says that abortion is fundamentally evil? Isn't that the issue. There were no first semester issues of terminating pregnancies in the bible. You are interpreting what is and isn't fundamentally evil. Other religions don't share in your view. More importantly, other men don't share in your view. I think killing a fully grown man or woman is much worse than killing a few cells after conception. I don't mean a third trimester organism, but a few cells moments after conception. There's no feet or arms or brain just rapidly dividing cells copying and recopying.
