: Sad day if Corzine buddies up with Menendez, but it seems he has no choice. I agree...Menendez is a dispicable political presence in Hudson, and perhaps some day we will be rid of him. Had Codey considered his potential political power rather than his political profile, he would have backed Corzine and become the man who "made" the man. And in doing that...he would have been cheered as the man who helped Hudson rid itself of Menendez once and for all. Imagine the powerbase Codey would have had then!!! But these guys are all short-sighted. 

: : Cody is endorsing Doria because he wants to get HC on his side.
: : he needs to split the dems in HC because as everyone knows, Corzine is with menendez.  This is going to be a political fight like you never seen before.   Can Cody pull it off? well he's got a lot of political capital. Can Corzine buy up enougth support to win?  John, give it up.  menendez is a dispicable figure, don't go with Menendez, he's a loser!  Stay in Senate, your day will come.  menendezx is not worth it.

But then again...Doria is not College President material. Ever listen to the guy try to form an intelligent sentence?  Its like watching a dog chew gum. : : : : The mail from Mahwah is starting to pile up on acting Governor Codey's desk as faculty and students from Ramapo College make entreaties to the governor to stay out of the college's presidential search.

: : : : Thursday, a group of professors met on campus and fired off a letter to Codey saying they were concerned that his endorsement of his political ally, Sen. Joseph V. Doria, "runs the risk of politicizing the search process." Cody (sic) has lobbied for Doria, who did not make the cut when the school's search committee selected five semifinalists.
