Hello, If you live in the Lincoln Park neighborhood (between Montgomery and Communipaw, from Bergen to Westside), we've got good news for you. The Lincoln Park Historic Trust has partnered with the NJ Tree Foundation to do our first annual tree planting in our neighborhood this year! A number of trees will be given out FREE of charge, and planted in front of your home or apartment building. Cement cuts in the sidewalk are paid for by us too! If you are interested in having a tree planted in front of your home, please respond to the Lincoln Park Historic Trust email directly (lincolnparktour@yahoo.com), include your address and contact information, and someone will contact you with all the info. If you are a condo owner, or rent a home/apartment, we must get an approval from your landlord or condo board/management company. There are a variety of trees available, many of which will produce beautiful flowers and scents in the springtime! Planting a tree in front of your home will provide shade, aid in the removal of foul smells and air pollution, reduce noise, and bring up the value of your property and block. Since it's totally FREE, you've got nothing to lose. The planting will take place at the end of October. Requests though MUST be recieved by this Wednesday, 9/6/04 (as trees will be on a first come first serve basis). For more information, please go to www.lincolnparktour.com
