Thanks for the tip. I will attempt to reach out to the person as they may not know that their driveway will impede the progress of the neighborhood as a whole. They may be also unaware that this is now illegal. As to whom should be contacted, I would assume that zoning should be contacted but am not sure. We can address this at tomorrow night's meeting. : Thank you for the information regarding the next meeting. : As concerned citizens who wish to preserve the beautiful historic character of the Lincoln Park neighborhood, one of the biggest detracters of this is the digging out of gardens to install driveways. Since this is now illegal in our neighborhood, whom should one contact if this is still happening? : Someone is currently starting to dig on lower Bentley Ave, and should be stopped before it's illegally completed. : : St. Paul’s Church : : 38 Duncan Avenue : : : : Agenda : : : : Street-Tree Plantings in November : : We now reap the benefits of the Historic Walking Tour. Volunteers needed for November 5th planting : : : : Parking Authority tries again to sell Bergen Avenue Lot : : Action tabled at the last Board Of Commissioners Meeting, anyone available to attend the next : : Parking Authority meeting on October 19th at 6pm – please call Charlene at 201-344-2060. : : We will carpool from Duncan Avenue. : : : : Mayor’s Race : : Candidate forums taking place throughout the city (see below for local schedule), what concerns would we like to : : question the candidates on so their positions could be stated and recorded for future reference. : : : : Bergen Communities United : : What is our commitment to this larger coalition of community groups, local organizations and residents? : : What role can we play in this planning initiative and how do we benefit? : : : : Zoning Violations : : Properties pave front yards – New construction does not abide by the landscaping percentages – Houses conduct parking lots in the back yards illegally – Parking on lawns. Results reported. Bring any other occurrences of zoning violations and they will be addressed. : : : : New Business
