: My family and I are thinking of moving to Lincoln Park and wanted to get more of an idea of what the neighborhood is like. Is there a significant number of families with small children. I have a two year old and was wondering about daycare facilities in the area. Are there any good ones? I was also wondering about how close Lincoln Park is to the PATH train? My husband and I both work in Manhattan and were wondering about the commute. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I am the mom of a one year old and I love it here. I agree with justin, this is no hamilton park/grove street, but there is a mommy group that meets alot and there's also one that meets once a month on Saturdays for working moms like myself. As far as daycare goes, I share a nanny with my sister but the other moms I know in the area either have a nanny or they bring them to a daycare in Manhattan, closer to work. I also work in the city and I have been walking to the path everyday for the past six years. If it's rainy or your feeling lazy than you can always take the 99sto 42nd or the 10 bus to the path. I hope this helps but if you have any questions please email me... Good luck!
