I wanted to update everyone on the latest news regarding the McGinley Square parking lot (on Fairmont and Monticello), which has been under heavy dispute.

As of right now, although the developer was initially denied a grant to build affordable housing on the lot, he has reapplied to get the grants which are being given out in November.

Basicaly, we are not in the clear yet. There is a chance that the grant will go through and the building will resume. For now , we will have to wait in suspense until early November.

If the grant is denied, then we will work with the Parking Authority to not only maintain, but improve the lot.
