As a resident of Jersey City who lives on Harrison Ave-just off Lincoln Park I am more than a little frustrated when my wife and I walk down to play tennis, and discover that all of the courts are monopolized by the various schools in the area. Considering that the courts are for public use, and were built with public funds it strikes me as outrageous that the schools are permitted to virtually take them over-in fact on several occasions we were actually asked to leave by school coaches. The courts are for everyone in the immediate community-they are most assuredy not the exclusive property of the many schools that decend upon them each day. The schools should be instructed to share them, and not to usurp the primary right of the tax-paying public to use them.
