Recently there was an article about the old police station at Montgomery and Boland Streets. We all Know where that is! We all know how long the building has been vacant.

Now is a really great time to put pressure on our local municipal agencies and politicians to do something that would benefit the community with that building. Planning, and Redevelopment Agencies should be made aware that community involvement is sufficiently active in our area to make it in their interest that this "Public Building" remain in the hands of the Public.

There are lots of uses that a building such as that could be converted to. It has already been paid for by Taxpayer dollars. I do not think a building like that should go to waste!

If Redevelopment cannot take the responsibility of returning one building to public use, how are they supposed to handle the responsibility of a task as large as the Medical Center redevelopment project?
