: I am having the same problem. I got a ticket and I was sure I was legally parked. I have a residential parking permit and I wasn't in the crosswalk. My ticket was for being too near to the crosswalk or something I don't understand. I called the parking authority and they told me the same thing.... something about being 25 ft. from the crosswalk. I've never heard of anything like that before. Is there a link to parking rules online somewhere that I can look at so I at least know more about this. I see cars parked in the same spot I was in every day. I wonder if they are getting tickets too... I've seen cars parked in the same areas and some days they will have a ticket and other days they won't. It's very frustrating because I see cars parked illegally all the time (i.e. in front of hydrants and stuff) and they don't have tickets but I do. Also, I noticed that they are putting the wrong address on my ticket and wrong make of car. Now I have the court harassing me for a parking ticket that has been paid. The amount was deducted from my account but it still is showing up as an unpaid ticket. I'm becoming very frustrated living in Jersey City with all these different rules depending on who you talk to in the JCPA. I may seriously need to look into moving elsewhere.
